- What does Steve Reicher mean by an “engaged follower”? [2 points] A participant (Teilnehmer) who identifies with cause of science and thinks he is doing the right thing. He believes that harming (schaden) people is the right thing to do in some situations.
- How does Steve Reicher operationalize doing something that is unpleasant to someone else/another group? [2 points] Steve Reicher had participants say nasty things about nicer groups (e.g. families, nurses) in order to substitue electric shocks in modern day studies.
- What were the main results of Steve Reicher's experiments? [3 points] In their own experiments, they could show that the more prestigious the science, the further people go. When people identify more with the victim, they don't go quite as far.
