- They (just arrive)..... They HAVE JUST ARRIVED. JUST = IMMER present perfect!! (wird nicht al konkreter Zeitpunkt angesehen, daher mit Present perfect)
- They (arrive) ..... two or three days ago. They ARRIVED two or three days ago. (= konkreter Zeitpunkt)
- They (arrive).... this morning They ARRIVED this morning (wird als KONKRETER Zeitpunkt gesehen!) aber auch ok: They HAVE ARRIVED this morning (wurde früher eher gesagt).
- I (see) .... her on my way to the bus stop this morning. I SAW her on my way to the bus stop this morning (=konkreter Zeitpunkt)
- Ich wünsch(t)e du wärst hier. I WISH you were here.
- When (you last see).... your father? When did you last see your father? LAST = IMMER simple past!!
- It is high time you (tell).... me the truth. It is high time you TOLD me the truth. UNLOGISCH ABER RICHTIG!
- Is she happy? Well, she said she (be) .... happy. Is she happy? Well, she said she WAS happy. I am / you are/ he is / we are/ you are / they are I WAS / you were / he WAS / we were / you were / they were
- He (just phone) .... to say he can´t make the appointment. He HAS JUST PHONED to say he can´t make the appointment. just = immer present perfect ("unbestimmter Zeitpunkt).
- I (never have) .... a birthday quite like this one before I have never had a birthday quite like this one before.
