Fundus and body:- Epithelium: rugae with shallow pits and deep glands- Contains mucus cells, gastric chief cells, parietal cells, and enteroendocrine cells

Antrum:- Mucosa: rugae with shallow pits and deep glands- Contains mucus cells, G cells (secrete gastrin), and D cells (secrete somatostatin)

Pylorus:- Mucosa: rugae with deep pits and shallow glands- Contains the pyloric sphincter of circular smooth muscle
